"It was one that got away really," he said.
"We had a good start and probably about 10 minutes into the second quarter we went into a lapse and they kicked four goals to lead at half-time.
"In the last quarter they kicked away at the end, but half-way through we were still within a couple of points."

Glenn Wyatt, Sam Dunstan, Brody Haddow and Matt Gilmour were among the visitors' best.
The Demons were well-served by Declan Lourey, while coach Ricky Allan kicked four goals.
Reigning premier Wedderburn bounced back from its first loss of the season to claim a 26-point win over Charlton at Donaldson Park, Wedderburn.
The Navy Blues led by four points at half-time, but could not hold on as the Redbacks won their second grand final rematch 11.13 (79) to 8.5 (53).
Sam Barnes kicked five goals for the Redbacks, while Rhys Thompson was named the visitors' best for the second week in a row.
