HARROW-BALMORAL wants to break back into the top three by the end of the season.
Taylors Lake is the first hurdle in its way.
With only three matches to go, Roos coach Brent Forsyth said a win was crucial for his side.
The Roos appeared to recapture some of their early season form in a win over Natimuk United at the weekend.
Forsyth said it was important the team kept improving in the final rounds.
“We’re looking at making more progress on ball movement forward of centre, and our defensive side has been really good so we’ll look to continue in that trend,” he said.
“Taylors Lake is a really competitive team, so it’s a game we can’t take lightly.
“With a top-three spot still up for grabs, we want to make sure we do everything right and execute well enough to get the four points.”
Taylors Lake coach Deek Roberts said his side needed to score goals from different targets after key forward Nathan Koenig went down with a knee injury at the weekend.
He called on the likes of Dean Harberger, Jeames Offer and onballers such as himself and Pat Purcell to help kick a winning total.
Harberger is one of the inclusions for the Lakers this week, along with Tim Kelm and Jack McRae.
Roberts said he did not know what to expect from the Roos, but backed his team to put in a good performance.
“It is a bit hard to get a read on Harrow-Balmoral this year,” he said.
“Their form has been up and down, and we haven’t been able to put a full game together too often.
“Their half-back flankers are the key to their side, that’s where all their play starts, so we’ve got to be aware of that.”
