PIMPINIO rediscovered competitive form in the first three quarters of its loss to Edenhope-Apsley at the weekend and will need to continue it on Saturday against Natimuk United.
The Tigers, whose form has been up and down, are still in search of a maiden win this season.
They competed hard with the Saints for three quarters on Saturday before being blown away in the final term.
Coach Mal Coutts said his team showed it could produce a competitive effort against finals-calibre sides, but now had to sustain that effort.
"If we bring the same attitude we did for the first three quarters against Edenhope-Apsley, they'll know they've got a game on their hands," he said.
"You might hope they're just coasting to the finish line now because they can't make finals, but if you're in the situation they are, they probably look at us and get fired up because it's a chance to get another win."
Coutts said Sam Knott was unlikely to play with hurt ribs, but Cam Dempster could return.
Natimuk United captain Jonathon Hornsby said it was unlikely there would be many changes to the side that lost to Kalkee at the weekend.
"It's a good opportunity to get back on the winners' list after a couple of down weeks," he said.
"We want to get back on the track of playing some decent footy again and playing out the four quarters.
"We want to finish the year off on a high note."
