St Patrick’s College beat Box Hill Secondary College 12.12 (84) to 5.5 (35).
The Ballarat school led by 32 points at the first change and was never headed.
It is now the only school to have won five straight state boys football titles and O’Beirne has played in the past two wins.
“We started off the game pretty well and put them away in the first quarter pretty much,” he said.
“We equalled the record last year, so it was a pretty big focus.”
O’Beirne, who has played for Horsham Saints and the North Ballarat Rebels this season, said the focus was now on securing a top-four TAC Cup finish with the Rebels.
“Hopefully the Rebels can play a few finals games,” he said.
“We’ve got to win the next two games to get fourth spot, so they’re pretty big games.”
The Rebels had a break at the weekend, but will take on Calder Cannons at Horsham City Oval on Sunday.
