The year 10 students are from Nujiang National Middle School and are participating in a cultural education exchange program with the college.
Horsham College teacher and exchange co-ordinator Brandi Galpin said the program started in September when a group of Horsham College students travelled to China.
She said it was an enriching and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
"We wanted to host the Chinese students and return their hospitality," she said.
"It will give all the students an opportunity to cement the friendships they formed last year."
Ms Galpin said the Chinese students visited Halls Gap and Lake Fyans at the weekend.
"They saw some animals they hadn't seen before, which they thought was amazing," she said.
"They also got a chance to try some different foods, like meat pies."
Ms Galpin said during the visit the students would also go to the Grampians and Mt Arapiles.
"They will do some classes at the college, particularly PE, cooking and Chinese classes, so they can help our students learn Chinese," she said.
"We want them to get a good feel of what it is like in the classroom at Horsham College but we also want to give them the opportunity to see other parts of the Wimmera."
Horsham Mayor Mark Radford was delighted to welcome the students to the municipality.
"Horsham Rural City Council has had a sister-city relationship with Nujiang since 2008," he said.
"The exchange program gives our students an opportunity to learn about the Chinese culture and broaden their horizons.
"It's a great educational partnership."
