The fundraising day is part of YMCA’s national Open Doors Foundation event, which supports people with disabilities. Committee member Tammy Van Duren said preparations had been great.
‘‘We have about 35 stalls for the market, which is fantastic,’’ she said.
‘‘We also have students from the Horsham Special School coming to swim as well.
‘‘It will be a great day and the weather should be perfect for it.’’
The day will include a special water workout from 10.30am.
‘‘We are still looking for people for that as we are hoping to fill the pool,’’ Miss Van Duren said.
‘‘We also have a special RPM class for two hours from 10am and there are still spots available for that.’’
Miss Van Duren said there would be a treasure hunt for children, which included a showbag.
‘‘There will also be a barbecue and a raffle,’’ she said.
‘‘First prize is a threemonth health and wellness membership.’’
Miss Van Duren encouraged everyone to come along.
‘‘It will be a great day out for the family and it is also a great way to support our Open Doors Foundation, which helps disadvantaged and disabled people,’’ she said.
‘‘We are hoping the day will raise enough money that we can purchase a new water wheelchair.’’
The market will run from 10am to 2pm and the swimathon will be from 11am to noon.
