The fire started about 2.30pm on Thursday.
Country Fire Authority District 16 acting operations manager Alfred Mason said no-one was hurt.
He said it was unclear how the fire had started.
The truck was completely burnt.
Mr Mason said the petrol station was mostly unmarred, bar some heat damage to a canopy covering diesel pumps.
"The truck pulled into the station but it was not next to the bowsers," he said.
Mr Mason said six authority units responded to the scene.
The Western Highway was temporarily closed but has now been re-opened.
Mr Mason said the fire would take a while to be fully extinguished.
He expected the petrol station would be re-opened at some point on Thursday afternoon.
