The annual event is designed to develop a healthy, active travel culture in young people.
Office administrator Sue Starbuck said this year’s event was popular.
‘‘I think it is getting more and more popular each year. It was one of our bigger years,’’ she said.
Teachers led three routes from Weir Park, Natimuk Road and Horsham north, meeting at the Horsham helipad and continuing as one large group down Trinity Drive to the school.
Ms Starbuck said some students rode from River Heights and others from Quantong were driven to Horsham to participate.
She said a number of parents and grandparents also got involved, riding with their children.
Ms Starbuck said principal Jeff Gork and visiting Hong Kong principal John Chan travelled from Weir Park on a tandem bike.
She said it was important to encourage students to participate in such events.
‘‘It’s a bit of exercise and fresh air on the way to school, and a bit of fun,’’ she said.
Ms Starbuck said the school would participate in the event again next year.
