The school’s Student Representative Council has organised The Big Blue Bash, a Beyond Blue initiative designed to raise money and awareness for mental health.
School captain Summer Schultz said she was inspired to host the week-long event after doing an oral presentation about mental health for a school assignment.
“We all get stressed, we get down by big issues. Things happen that make us feel sad and overwhelmed,” she said.
“It’s important for us to know how to look after ourselves.”
Summer said throughout the week students had taken part in a number of activities to inspire good mental health, including watching a film, physical activity and listening to a guest speaker.
