The school’s parents club will host Horsham West Colour Fest, a fun five-kilometre walk or run along the Wimmera River.
Participants are encouraged to wear as much white as possible, because they will be covered in colourful powder along the way.
Teacher Ben Miatke said the parents club had been working hard to create the major fundraiser to support the school by providing things like playground equipment and classroom items.
He said the group decided on the colour run to provide something different to the community.
“It’s an out of the box fundraiser,” he said.
The Horsham West Colour Fest will be at Sawyer Park in Horsham on October 25.
A pre-run warm-up will start at 10.30am, and the main event will start shortly after.
Runners and walkers will embark on the track in groups and be covered in coloured powder at different intervals. The run will not be timed and is a family-friendly event.
Mr Miatke said the event would end with a colour party at the soundshell, which will include music, food and drinks.
Early bird tickets are available until 5pm on October 9 at $28 for adults and $18 for children.
Children aged five or less can participate free of charge when accompanied by a registered adult.
Tickets are available through the Qkr! smartphone application.
