Youngsters honed their batting, bowling and fielding skills, worked on their co-ordination and played some fun games.
Co-ordinator Matt Grace was thrilled with the turnout so early in the cricket season.
“It’s pretty good for the first session,” he said.
“And we’ve got another six or so coming next week so we’ll have about 40 in total.
“We did a warm-up game to get them ready to run around, we did a co-ordination game and then finished off with a game of Rapid Fire.”
The program will run until the 20th of December before entering a break at the Christmas and New Year period and resuming again on January 31.
The sessions are run on Sunday’s from 10am to 11am at Coughlin Park.
