School welfare officer Brent White said the project was funded through Wimmera Uniting Care's Wimmera School Focus Youth Services.
"The program funded six projects in the Wimmera, including this one, to strengthen relationships and engage parents and families with our schools," Mr White said.
"At the Rasmussen campus, we ran a whole week of activities throughout the school and then celebrated all our hard work with a barbecue."
Mr White said the program provided lunch for students and families, who worked with artist and semi-retired teacher Andy Lambrogiotas.
"Andy provided tiles and art equipment and students from both the Rasmussen and 298 campuses worked to create tiles of strawberries, carrots and watermelons to go in our vegetable patch," he said.
"We also created a vegetable garden sign and a welcome sign."
Mr White said the school was always looking to improve student well-being.
"This has helped us to do that and to engage families and we have made something students can enjoy in years to come," he said.
