The college will host its 100th anniversary celebrations from October 11 to 14.
Teachers Tina Fitzgerald and Simone Conroy created the new mural, with help from Gordon Hornsby, Luke McCallum and other staff.
The mural was placed on a wall of the Ellis building at the school's senior campus on Friday.
The design is called a 'Learning Tree'.
Ms Fitzgerald said the image mirrored a mural at the middle years campus, which was part of a year nine community project she led.
"Students at the middle years campus have really engaged with the mural project and have taken ownership of the area," she said.
"They have planted a garden underneath, with flowers that reflect the colours in the mural.
"The new mural at the senior campus has been extended with a riot of colourful leaves and birds that bring life and colour to the brick building.
"The image reinforces the school's commitment to continually improve teaching and learning and its commitment to developing a creative and stimulating learning environment.
"As the current mural has gone up, there has been a lot of interest among staff, students and the community.
"There has been a positive response to the bright colours and the fact that the students recognise the image; it's very powerful and eye-catching."
Ms Fitzgerald said the new mural would be a colourful entrance to the school for visitors during centenary celebrations.
"We invite everyone in the community to visit, look at the murals and celebrate with the college during the many 100-year anniversary events in October," she said.
