Mark John Curtis, 44, sat in the dock in Horsham Magistrate's Court on October 3.
Curtis pleaded guilty to having given a false and misleading statement on a flood relief application.
Magistrate Richard Pithouse convicted Curtis and placed him on a Commonwealth bond. He ordered Curtis to pay $1000 compensation to Centrelink and $44 costs.
Mr Pithouse noted that Curtis would plead guilty to a number of state charges tomorrow. He further remanded Curtis and noted there was no bail application.
Police have charged Curtis with having made threats to kill, assault with a weapon, having recklessly caused injury, having threatened to inflict serious injury, two counts of unlawful assault, two counts of having breached an intervention order, burglary, theft, two counts of having handled stolen goods, having breached an interlock device licence condition, having caused a false fire alarm, cannabis possession and possession of prescription medication without a prescription.
Police allege that the offences occurred between September 2011 and July this year.
Police will make an application for Curtis's alleged suspended sentence breaches tomorrow.
Mr Pithouse gave a sentencing indication for Curtis's state charges on October 3.
He said he would jail Curtis for 18 months, with Curtis to serve six months and 12 months to be wholly suspended for two years.
Mr Pithouse also said he would reinstate both of Curtis's suspended sentences if he was found to have breached them, to be served concurrently with any new sentence.
He said with time already served Curtis might be released by early 2013.
