WIMMERA schools are among about 160 across Victoria that will receive state government funding in Wednesday’s budget. Donald High school will receive $3,500,000 for upgrades and modernisation. It comes after Member for Lowan Emma Kealy confirmed on Tuesday night Warracknabeal Secondary College would receive $4 million. The state budget also includes money for three schools as part of the National School Pride Program, which the state government will run. Rainbow P-12 College will receive $350,000, while Natimuk Primary School is set to receive $90,000. Tempy Primary School Primary in Yarriambiack Shire will receive $65,000. However schools that have lobbied for funding for years, including Dimboola Memorial Secondary College, have missed out.
