Milgate is one of only a handful of Wimmera league legends and was on hand to see four of his seven grandsons play against the Warriors.
Daughter Donna Cameron said her father still attended Burras’ matches religiously, despite being 88 years of age.
“Mum and dad are always at the gate before everyone else,” she said.
“They watch every game from the 14s right through to seniors and then they toddle off home again.”

Mrs Cameron said it was the first time the four grandsons – Brylie Cameron, Jarrod Newell, Joe Milgate and Liam Newell – had appeared for the club on the same day.
“Joe lives in Ballarat and hasn’t played footy for the past three years,” she said.
“(Dad) had one grandson playing in seniors and the other three played in the reserves.
“There could have been five grandsons playing but my other son Darcy isn’t playing this year.”
Mr Milgate has 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
