Organiser Eva Daly said the event on June 11 would celebrate the start of the winter season.
She said the party at Spotlight Horsham would include workshops and competitions, with a range of prizes.
Mrs Daly said knitting could help improve general well-being.
“There have been studies showing that it helps with mindful thoughts and relaxation,” she said.
“We are hoping to get some younger people in to learn a skill that is very useful. Spotlight will also be having a massive sale, with 40 per cent off all yarn.”
Mr Daly said the family-friendly event would include activities for all ages.
Spotlight Horsham manager Nicole Beavis said the store was pleased to be involved with the event.
“We are so excited to host the party and get creative with the community,” she said.
“We can’t wait for everyone to get down here on and celebrate with us.”
Mrs Daly said people could call her on 0413 988 533 for more information.
