With the support from Sport and Recreation Victoria Football and Netball Grants Programme, Rupanyup Minyip Community Bank, Minyip Murtoa Football and Netball Club and the Yarriambiack Shire Council the Minyip Recreation Reserve works are now complete.
The transformation has seen the conversion of the former store room into facilities for female officials, complete refurbishment of the male facilities, upgrade of the umpires and trainers rooms, resurfacing of the netball court including new line marking, new lights for the netball court and much more.
Emma Kealy member of Lowan was on board for the opening ceremony.
The work complements the extension to the Community Recreation Centre, and replacement of obsolete overhead power lines with underground cabling. The upgrade was made official on Saturday June 4.
