The Saints celebrated the opening of the Coughlin Park Community Centre with an emphatic victory, 16.22 (118) to 6.8 (44), in the process handing the Demons a second consecutive loss.
The first quarter proved a real arm wrestle as both sides exchanged goals.
Saints kicked 2.5 to lead the Demons, two goals straight, at the end of the term.
It was all Saints in the second quarter. The forward line found its range and kicked six goals to the Demons’ two.
Saints had a handy 38-point lead at the main break and never relinquished it, cruising home for the win.
The league’s leading goal kicker Jacob Cooke-Harrison booted three for the Saints, as did Matthew Combe.
Samuel Clyne, Angus Gove and Sam Jasper were the other multiple goal kickers for the home side and all three were named among the best.
For the Demons, Rhona Conboy, Simon Hobbs and Tyler Blake toiled hard in a well-beaten side.
The result means the two teams switch places on the Wimmera league ladder, with the Saints now second and the Demons fourth.
