The event kicks off as former and present players, club members and supporters are invited to watch Kaniva-Leeor United take on Bordertown, a team that will include many former Cougars players, at Kaniva.
The footballers and netballers will both be wearing special jumpers for the day that incorporates the names of everyone who has played senior football or netball for the club.
The festivities will continue well into the evening when these jumpers are auctioned off to the crowd and a team of the century is announced. The team of the century will be made up of footballers and netballers who have played more than 40 club games.
Cougars’ Jeffrey Meyer said the event would be a casual club get together. “We want people to celebrate that we’ve survived 20 years, hopefully we have 20 more ahead!” he said.
