In the A Grade it was the Jedi defeating the Wookies in the grand final seven sets to one. The winning team was made up of Richard Goudie, Joel Beggs, Boby Chandran, Ryan Metelmann and Lachlan Punchard.
The Wookies only registered two losses during the season but were overwhelmed by the second placed Jedi in the grand final.
In B Grade the Skywalkers defeated the Fetts five sets to three in a closer battle.
Again it was an upset win in the grand final with the Skywalkers finishing third during the regular season while the Fetts suffered only one loss.
Josh Dunn, Mohammad Islam, Vanessa McMaster, Corey Smith and Katrina Palma Gil were the members of the victorious Skywalkers team.
Club secretary Trent King said it was a good season.
“Numbers were up,” he said.
“That allowed us to have five teams which created a bye, which made it easier to find fill ins when people were unavailable.”
The award for most improved A Grade player went to James Gardner. Katrina Palma Gil received the B Grade award. Ebony Dunn and Joel Emmett were the best doubles combination.
Joel Emmett won 34 of 39 sets during the season to claim the best individual performance award.
