Horsham cyclist Mark O'Brien finishes eighth in Melbourne to Warrnambool

FORMER Horsham cyclist Mark O’Brien has taken home an eighth place after competing in the Melbourne to Warrnambool one-day race on Saturday, October 15. 

O’Brien finished three minutes and 37 seconds behind winner Nathan Elliott who posted a time of six hours 38 minutes and 55 seconds. 

Saturday marked the final race of the 2016 Subaru National Road Series of 12 tours.

O’Brien is now set to turn his attention to the national cycling championships in January.
