The council will present Annie, which will run for eight performance in May.
Producer Simon Dandy said auditions would start on Wednesday and finish on Saturday.
“There will be up to 60 people in the cast, depending on the turnout for auditions,” he said.
The show’s director is Emily Friedrichsen-Hay.
“This is Emily’s first time as director for the Horsham Arts Council,” Mr Dandy said.
“She has directed Robin Hood and Hairspray for the Horsham College and has extensive performing experience.
“While it is a big task, we know she will do a great job as she is being supported by a fabulous team of people.
“She is one very talented lady.”
Mr Dandy said Annie was a production that never got old.
“It has a great story, it’s funny, it has wonderful songs and even a dog,” he said.
“While the orphans will be children, the production is open for all performers – it’s not a junior production.”
Mr Dandy said being involved in a production gave people the chance to meet others, expand their networks and do something they love.
“The Horsham Arts Council has a proud history of producing high quality shows,” he said.
“We need people for both on and off stage.
“Some people come along to watch a production and say ‘I wish I auditioned for the show’ – now is the time to say ‘I am going to do it’.”
Mr Dandy said people could visit the Horsham Arts Council’s Facebook page or website for more information on the audition process, such as songs and scripts.
“People can then organise a time for their audition,” he said.
Mr Dandy said people could also call him on 0404 092 407 or Mrs Friedrichsen-Hay on 0439 105 379 if they had any queries.
