The campaign has raised more than $800,000 so far for the Horsham Town Hall and art gallery redevelopment.
Donations have come from community groups, seat sponsorships, a movie night in Horsham, and other general donations.
The Geoff and Helen Handbury Foundation donated $600,000, which is being channelled through the Horsham Regional Art Gallery Trust, payable in instalments.
The trust has received two of the three instalments.
Cr Mark Radford said people could still buy seats as part of the fundraising.
“We are still raising money and looking for sponsorship,” he said.
“There are still opportunities tor businesses to jump on board and sponsor parts of the building.
“We are more than 80 per cent through our target.”
Cr Radford said since the town hall opened in February there had been a range of sold-out shows.
”We’ve had comments from performers on stage, particularly professional performers, that we have a notable venue,” he said.
Community services director Kevin O’Brien said the fundraising committee would look to have a new dedicated campaign to raise more money early in next year.
