The authority said no fires could be lit in the open air between 12.01am on January 30 and 11.59pm.
Temperatures are expected to hit 36 degrees in Horsham tomorrow. The mercury is expected to top 37 degrees at Nhill and Warracknabeal, 36 at Stawell and 34 at Edenhope and Ararat.
The forecast for the Wimmera for Monday is a partly cloudy day with a 20 per cent chance of a shower in the afternoon and evening.
Light northerly winds are expected to reach speeds of 15 to 25 kilometres per hour early in the morning before turning west to south-westerly and peaking at between 25 and 35 kilometres per hour in the middle of the day.
The authority has advised people living in areas at risk of fire to activate their bushfire plan. Temperatures are expected to fall back below 30 degrees on Tuesday.
