Grampians Helicopters will return to the field days for the second time this year.
Owner Justine Neofitou said last year, the Stawell business had only been operating for a few months.
“It was a great introduction to joy flights for the region,” she said.
This year, the business will again have joy flights on offer at the field days. “We will have options for flights around the region for five, 10 or 15 minutes,” Mrs Neofitou said. “The prices will either be the same, or cheaper than we offer normally.”
Mrs Neofitou said a new offer this year was a chance to see the Silo Art Trail from the air.
“We will offer a 30-minute flight to the Sheep Hills silos to see the artwork,” she said.
“The silos have received so much attention, so this is a unique opportunity to see them in a different way.”
Mrs Neofitou said having an aerial view of the region put things into perspective for lots of people. “Many people who had flights last year lived close by and wanted to fly near their house,” she said.
“It’s a different perspective that is wonderful for people to experience.”
Mrs Neofitou said people of all ages could travel in the helicopter. “It’s free for children under 3 and they can sit on mum or dads lap and use a special lap belt,” she said.
Mrs Neofitou said people could pre-book a silo flight by calling 0438 981 438 or emailing grampianshelicopters@gmail.com.
