Sports co-ordinator Luke Carr said the carnival was a great day for students to mix and show off their sporting skills. “It went really well,” he said.
“It builds school moral, gets the students involved in sport and supporting their house groups.
“They can participate in sport but also get involved in a social environment.”
Mr Carr said Darlot took out top spot for the second year running with 323 points, with McLachlan coming second on 230 points, Briggs third on 161 and Hall finishing last.
He said students embraced the hippy theme for the carnival, with tassels, face-paint and house colours all displayed prominently.
Flower power, vikings and water-gun toting students were also popular dress-up themes. “Particularly the year 12s got into the theme,” Mr Carr said.
“It’s a great involved day.”
It was the second win in a row for Darlot, with McLachlan having won the championship in 2015.
