Ella Bibby (Warracknabeal) and Sophie van de Heuvel (Ballarat) were joint-winners in the inaugural count.
They tied on 14 votes to take home the award, while runner-up Lauren Butler (Carisbrook) followed closely with 13.
Bibby’s win caps off an outstanding season where she polled votes in four of fives games in what was her first season of club football.
Bibby has previously played school football at Ballarat Grammar.
Meanwhile, Sophie Molan (Lake Wendouree) was awarded best first year player and Tessa Marra (Nhill) won the coaches’ award.
Brisbane Lions AFL Women’s player and Ballarat footballer Kaitlyn Ashmore presented the awards in front of more than 80 people.
The GWV Rebels finished in seventh position on the ladder in the first TAC Cup Girls season, winning three of their five games.
