Horsham mum Sharon Naylor said it would be a quiet Mother’s Day for her this year, with her daughter performing in Horsham Arts Council’s production of Annie.
“It will just be a nice day to spend together,” she said.
Mrs Naylor said she was hoping her children would make her breakfast in bed on Sunday.
“That would be nice,” she said.
Her son, Thomas Naylor said he loved his mum because she took him everywhere.
“She does a lot of things for me,” he said.
Thomas said his mum would have to wait and see if she got breakfast in bed though.
Thomas’s grandmother Helen Thomas said it would be a chilled out day, but she was looking forward to it.
“Everyday is Mother’s Day when your a grandmother,” she said.
Many Wimmera primary schools had Mother’s Day lunches on Thursday.
