HORSHAM Fire Station received funding from four businesses to upgrade its staging area trailer and equip the station with more resources to control fires.

The staging area trailer has various amenities to assist firefighters in controlling and efficiently allocating resources.
Secretary of the HQ District 17 Country Fire Authority, David Eltringham, said the trailer was solar powered, which would allow it to be used everywhere.
“It means we, as a community, have the facilities to take the necessary measures on the fire front,” he said.
The trailer also has amenities to look after firefighters when they return from the fire front.
Wade’s, Horsham Auto Electrical, Rosevear Engineering and Jayco Horsham funded the new trailer.
Representatives from the four groups were presented with a certificate to recognise their contributions.
“This is a great example of the community working together with the local brigade and the Country Fire Authority to make sure we’re fire ready,” Mr Eltringham said.
