The ladder-leaders were little more than a minute away from losing its first match of the season against Dimboola.
Coach Damian Cameron said his side addressed how much it needed to lift at training on Tuesday night.
“Everyone acknowledged we were a long way from our best, and that is taking nothing away from Dimboola,” he said. “There was good energy on the track Tuesday and everyone is ready to hit the game hard on Saturday.”
John Delahunty and Jae McGrath will likely be back to help the side return to its best form. “Nhill really challenged us in round one and will be high on confidence,” Cameron said. “We think we had most of the match-ups right in that game but we might go smaller in our forward line because they were able to generate some run from defence.”
