Darcy Woodfine, Kade Bohner, Blake Jamison and Bodhi Stephens all scored three goals for the Ararat team in the 17.5.107 to 5.4.34 win.
Five other players kicked a goal in a positive team effort. Bohner was named the Ararat team’s best player for the match.
It is the fifth consecutive year that Ararat have defeated Stawell in the annual match. The Ararat team team was made up of the best top age players in the Ararat and District Junior Football Association and faced the best top age players from the Stawell association.
Ararat coach Scott Turner said he was thankful for the opportunity to coach the group of young players again this year. “It is always enjoyable to coach, talk and be involved with our junior boys of our local competition,” he said. “I wish them well for their future in footy but also school and coming years.”
