Ella, 10, said the money she raised would go to Variety Australia – the children's charity.
She said she was more than halfway to reaching her goal of $1600.
“If I reach my target, that will be great because it will make one wig,” she said. “Once I get to $1600, I might raise (the goal) so I can get two wigs made.”
Ella said her mum, Rachael, wanted her to get a haircut and after some thought she decided it was a great opportunity to raise money for a worthy cause.
“I thought I would do something for Linc (Warracknabeal youngster who lost his battle with a brain tumour) and raise money for children suffering from cancer and illnesses,” she said.
“My mum and I thought we’d be lucky to get $100, but we reached that within one day.”
