Hindmarsh council's Anne Champness accepts Tatiara role

HINDMARSH Shire Council’s Anne Champness will be Tatiara District Council’s chief executive from next month.

Ms Champness has accepted a four-year contract with the South Australian council, starting on November 27.

She has worked with Hindmarsh council for nine years, and is currently the corporate and community services director.

She has also served as acting chief executive and worked in numerous roles within the community development and corporate services departments.

She will take over the Tatiara role from Rob Harkness, who will retire on November 24 after 15 years in the position.

Ms Champness was selected from about 50 applicants.
