Players had to contend with wild winds last week in a tough round of tennis.
This week sees second placed Drung South come up against third placed Haven in what should be an interesting encounter. Both teams are equal on points after nine games with six wins and three losses each.
Haven were surprisingly defeated last week at the hands of Kalkee and will be hoping to return to winning ways.
Ladder leaders St Michael’s will look to continue their hot run of form when they take on Kalkee at home.
St Michael’s are undefeated but Kalkee fielded their strongest team of the season last week, so could test the league’s best team.
Finally, the two bottom teams in Horsham Lawn and Natimuk will battle it out.
Natimuk captain Carl Sudholz said he was hoping for a close match.
“We came fairly close to Lawn last time, we lost on games last time so it should be a good match,” he said. “We’re expecting a close battle, which should be good because we have had a couple of big losses recently.”
Sudholz said he was slightly concerned at pulling together a full team, with harvest in full swing.
“With harvest on, we probably won’t be at full strength,” he said. “We also have Cheryl Sudholz with an ankle injury, she had to retire hurt last week. Hopefully she can play. We are looking a little bit undermanned but still looking forward to a close contest.”
