The winner was Emily Preston who showed what she loved about the Wimmera in her design.
“It’s a few of my favourite things about Lowan including the Grampians, Green Lake and the great farm,” she said.
Ms Kealy invited all primary school students to design a cover for her Christmas cards that showed what they loved best about their area with a touch of festive spirit.
''I wanted something meaningful that represented our great part of the state and they have certainly given me that,” she said.
''I am so proud of their great work and I will be displaying some of the entries in my office window.”
A number of other students who produced highly commended artwork will receive a prize in appreciation of their outstanding efforts.
“The artistic talent of our youth is very impressive,” Ms Kealy said.
“It was striking how many included references to their favourite places and our recharged lakes and rivers.”
Ms Kealy said she enjoyed seeing the students creations and would continue the competition next year.
