POLICE have located the body of a man at MacKenzie Falls.
A Victoria Police media spokeswoman said the man’s body was found about 9.30am at the falls at Zumsteins, in the Grampians National Park.
She said he was yet to be formally identified, but police believed him to be a 28-year-old currently staying in Pakenham, who was last seen under the falls on Saturday afternoon.
The spokeswoman said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
EARLIER – 8.55AM
POLICE are searching for a man in the Grampians.
A police media spokeswoman said the 28-year-old Pakenham man was last seen under the MacKenzie Falls waterfall at Zumsteins in the Grampians National Park on Saturday afternoon.
Witnesses reported seeing the man go below the water at about 5pm.
The spokeswoman said Wimmera police and State Emergency Service members were unable to locate the man on Saturday, and resumed the search on Sunday morning.
