The medal recognised Creek as the best male athlete of the year following a stellar NBL season for the Adelaide 36ers as well strong contributions with the Australian Boomers.
David Andrivon, Matthew Dellavedova and Andrew Bogut are all recent winners of the award.
Creek continued his impressive form on Saturday night by registering 20 points and 11 rebounds for 36ers as they thumped the Perth Wildcats 109-74 in the first game of their semi-final series.
The resounding win places the Adelaide in the box seat ahead of game two in the three game series which will be played in Perth on March 9.
Patricia Ralph was also recognised for 35 years of service to the Stawell Basketball Association during the Basketball Victoria Awards dinner.
