Former Australian Diamond Erin Bell and new Collingwood Magpies player Matilda Garrett will travel to Nhill on Friday to talk at the club’s season launch.
New Tigers A Grade coach Emma Beer said Bell will speak about her journey as an elite netballer.
“We’re inviting everyone from the community and all the players to start the season off in a great way on Friday,” she said. “Erin will also be running a session on injury prevention and nutrition.”
The pair will then run a netball clinics for the club’s junior and senior netball groups the following morning.
Beer said she was keen for players to develop cohesion throughout the grades.
“I’m keen for them to learn some basic skills sets well,” she said.
“It will be great for us all to learn similar things so we have that consistency through the grades from the 13 and unders through to A Grade.
“As the players move through the ranks we want them to have a consistent skill set and thought process in relation the their netball.”
The clinics will follow on from a Wednesday night visit from Netball Victoria’s Jan Mannes to work with the club’s coaches.
“She will be working closely with our coaches in order to get them to start preaching the same message more consistently,” she said.
Bell and Garrett will then travel to Dimboola in the afternoon to run a two hour clinic with the club’s juniors players.
