President of the association Kate-Lyn Perkin said it was a largely successful season.
“We have had the least amount of forfeits in a long time,” she said.
“That is because we have opened up tennis to be played on Friday nights as well as encouraging clubs to use our day clearances. We will encourage that again for next year.
“There were really no issues this year.”
Ms Perkin said people had welcomed changes to help improve numbers.
“Changing the B Special to six-game sets was fantastic, and we only had positive feedback about that,” she said.
“Everyone was getting right into it and it allowed younger ones to come up and older ones to stay.”
The fact we have so many juniors and so many juniors want to go play at Haven is fantastic

Ms Perkin said her season highlight was seeing eight different clubs represented in the senior grand finals.
“That hasn’t happened for a long, long time, in every grade there were different clubs,” she said.
Ms Perkin also praised the efforts of the Haven Tennis Club, which finished with six junior tennis titles.
“The fact we have so many juniors and so many juniors want to go play at Haven is fantastic,” she said.
“It is an awesome junior-run club, and they have so many children. They are fantastic for junior tennis.”
The association will now turn its attention to its general meeting at the end of April, where more changes could be implemented for the following season.
“Hopefully there will be a few more changes, not dramatic ones, but the main one we want is to put sets back to eight games,” Ms Perkin said.
“It would shorten the day slightly and encourage more people to come and play.
“We also want to open tennis clubs to play basically whenever they like, which I think would stop even more forfeits.
“We would encourage anyone with ideas for possible changes to email us at centralwimmerata@gmail.com and attend our general meeting towards the end of April.”
