Early in the contest it looked like the Mississipi State Bulldogs was in the box seat as the side led Notre Dame 30-17 at half time.
Notre Dame flew back into the contest to level the scores with one period left.
The Bulldogs jumped back in front during the fourth quarter and had a 58-53 lead with less than a minute to play. Scores were tied before Arike Ogunbowale hit a three-point shot with one second on the clock to win the game 61-58 for Notre Dame.
