The Rats were outclassed by the Southern Mallee Giants in their round four match two weeks ago but the squad has returned to training and re-grouped during the interleague bye and will be out to notch up their fourth win of the season.
With only two Rats players involved in the interleague match, the majority of the squad will be fresh for Saturday’s match.
The home team should also have plenty of options at selection with a handful of reserves players pushing a case for senior selection in the opening rounds.
Ararat has shown that their new high-scoring style suits Alexandra Oval.
The Rats have scored more than 140 points in both games the team has played at the Ararat ground so far this season.
The Warrack defenders will have their work cut out for them, as the Rats could bring back Jack Ganley into the senior team.
The visitors have had a mixed start to the season, going into the round five match at 2-2.
The team will take confidence from their match against the Horsham Demons despite the loss with an upset win against the Rats not out of the question if the Eagles can put in a four quarter effort, something the Warriors and Dimboola were not able to do so far in Ararat.
First bounce for the round five Wimmera Football League match is set for 2.20pm.
