Tribe won with a score of 297, one shot ahead of Nick Thomson. Tribe leaked shots at the end, with Lewis Gebert finishing third with a score of 303. Thomson won the handicapped total with a score of 212.
Tribe, who is from Halls Gap, said it was pleasing to get the win.
“It’s great to win in my first championships at the club,” he said.
“The first round was my best and then two double bogeys in the back nine on Sunday made things a bit interesting.”
Heading into the final round of the men’s championships it was clear there would be three players fighting it out for the title.
After a great third round it was Thomson who went into the final day feeling the most confident.
Thomson had scores of 72 and 76 on the board after the first weekend of play before a round of 70 put him just above Adam Tribe.
Tribe went into day four with a score of 221, three behind Thomson.
In third, 19-year-old Gebert with a handicap of zero, had a tough third round to put him four shots off the pace.
Gebert posted scores of 74 and 73 in the first two rounds and then 75 on Saturday to head into round four with a gross score of 222.
In the other grades, Peter Burns won the intermediate with a score of 335, while Wayne Anderson claimed the best net score with 220.
Mark Douglass’ score of 366 across the four rounds was enough for him to win B Grade, with Damien Thomson claiming the best net total with 229.
David Lavithis won C Grade with a gross score 368, with John Burford winning the handicapped total with a score of 223.
