VicRoads will start a series of asphalt works on Monday on Baillie Street, between Urquhart and McPherson streets.
Work will continue on Tuesday in one lane of the highway at the May Park Terrace intersection.
Crews will complete works in the opposite lane at the intersection on Wednesday.
The works are scheduled for 9.30am to 3.30pm each day, weather permitting.
VicRoads said signs and other traffic measures would be in place around the affected areas.
They estimate traffic delays of up to five minutes.
There are also traffic changes in Warracknabeal after a water main burst on Saturday.
Police are detouring traffic around a large hole that has developed at the intersection of Rainbow Road and Asquith Avenue.
VicRoads said people could access the latest information about travel conditions at the VicTraffic website.
