Senior Constable Sam Noonan said an unknown offender or offenders broke into a tool trailer at the Warracknabeal education precinct site in Werrigar Street overnight Tuesday.
“We believe it happened some time around 3am,” he said.
“There were nail guns, a demolition saw, battery-operated tools and other hand tools stolen.
“The owners are still putting together a full list, but at this stage have estimated the goods to be worth around $10,000.”
Senior Constable Noonon urged anyone with information to call Warracknabeal Police Station on 5398 1044.
He also warned people to be aware of power tools being sold online for discount prices.
Stage one of Warracknabeal’s new education precinct is due to be completed by the end of the year.
