Swifts go into Saturday’s clash against Harrow-Balmoral well-rested, enjoying the bye last weekend.
Prior to their weekend off, the Baggies had win their previous five matches.
Swifts coach Scott Carey said his side is feeling good after its second bye of the season.
“Everyone is feeling refreshed and ready to go, the break came at a good time,” he said.
Carey said he hopes the week off will be a benefit for his side but is aware of the risks involved with going into a game against a strong team after a break.
“It is one of those things where you would like to think you are feeling fresh and ready to go but you just don’t know until you are out there,” he said.
“Their tempo will be right on from the start so if we can come out early in the first term and match them I’d like to think we can outrun them later with fresher legs.”
The Southern Roos have been on the warpath after their round eight loss to Jeparit-Rainbow, tearing apart any team that stands in their way.
Harrow-Balmoral coach Nick Pekin said this match has been one his side has been one his players have been looking forward to for a long time.
“We have been eyeing this game of for quite some time now. Every side is looking to knock us off so we expect a great contest,” he said.
“We know they will be hard to beat especially on their home ground.”

Just 11 points separated the sides when they met earlier in the season, with the Southern Roos taking the four points on that day.
“That match could have gone either way. Both teams are looking different now but we can still take a bit out of that game,” Pekin said.
The Baggies will be hoping to bring some crucial players back into the team, with Daniel Parkin a “big chance” to return after missing the better part of a month with a foot injury.
The Southern Roos will not be at full strength for the clash once again but could welcome back Todd Lawrence and James Staude to the side.
Carey said defensive work rate and team offense are crucial to overcoming the ladder leaders.
“We don’t want a shootout as such. They have forwards who rarely miss so we will try and limit their opportunities at goal,” he said.
“For us it is about out spread of goalkickers. We have more than just one or two avenues to goal so we will look to use that to our advantage too.”
The Baggies have seven players that have kicked more than 10 goals so far this season.
Playing at North Park presents an interesting challenge for Pekin’s men, one he said they are looking forward to.
“We had a bit of a chat about it and we like playing there,” he said.
“It’s wide but not too long and every kick will go long and direct and be able to make an impact.”
