The two sides have both struggled with injuries and availability throughout the season. However, the Rams still have life in their season and have a finals position to play for.
Rams coach Sam Anson said he was trying to take some pressure off of his side.
“We want everyone to enjoy their football as a group,” he said.
“The pressure has been taken off us a bit, probably because of injuries. We aren’t overthinking things.
“We are hoping to get back on the winners list, for sure. We have a few injuries but it’s been the same for the last 10 weeks.
“Assistant coach Garry Hallam should come back in for us.”
Anson said despite the Lakers’ position he expected a tough game.
“I’m expecting a good game and they will probably come out firing,” he said.
Taylors Lake coach Jye Smith said his side had nothing to lose and would be mixing things up.
“Even though we are disappointed with our losses, we have nothing to lose,” he said. “We are going to start looking to next year and let guys have some game time around the ground.
“Trent McGough played ruck last week and was best on and he had never played ruck before. Lachie Marks played back pocket and had one of his best game and he had never played there before.”
