HORSHAM’S sub-acute rehabilitation program was showcased at an Australia Rehabilitation Nurses Association workshop.

Wyuna sub-acute unit manager Yula Donovan said the workshop was an opportunity to show that Horsham has a successful and functioning sub-acute rehabilitation unit.

“People around the state now know we exist and we have a functioning unit,” she said. “It’s much better for patients because people know we’re here and when patients are considering rehab they can be closer to home.”

Mrs Donovan said the workshop offered a chance to share innovative ideas to improve patient’s care.

“We’ve made changes in the way we do things and we were able to showcase what we do,” she said.
