The side started off with a strong lead, which it continued to build on throughout the game.
The final scoreboard had the Tigers on top, 37 to 24.
Pimipinio coach Maree Thompson said the team really gained momentum in the second quarter, which put them comfortably out front.
“It was the pressure that we applied down the court the whole game that got us through. We didn’t stop,” she said. “Our mid-court put up as much defence as our defenders did and we got the turn overs and converted them into goals.”

Despite a comfortable win, Thompson said Kalkee were tough opponents.
“They are always a tough team to go up against. They apply a lot of pressure in the ring and they are usually accurate goalies too,” she said.
“They applied pressure down the court, but we got over the top of them today.”
Pimpinio goal attack Tahlia Thompson was best on court.
