The black-tie event’s ticket sales would open to the public tomorrow at 9am. The banquet is on October 20.
Rupanyup Major Events president Tess Healy said the hype has not faltered and expects tickets to be snatched up quickly.
“It’s been a trend for tickets to sell out fast and there’s no reason to think it won’t be as quick,” she said.
The tickets sold out in nine minutes last year. Miss Healy said it would be impressive to beat that record this year.
Tickets are capped at 400 people to create a “nice atmosphere.” She said the crop was east of Rupanyup.
“The season being what it is, the crop might not look as lush as previous years, but it shouldn’t take away the enjoyment,” she said.
“The bands are booked, the catering is arranged and it’s all coming along really well.”
The money raised from the banquet would be put back into the Rupanyup community.
Miss Healy said there was also a chance to donate to the ‘Buy a Bale’ program.
